Jennie E. Gray, 75, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, September 8, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on December 24, 1939 in Ilion, New York, a daughter of the late, William and Jennie (Armstrong) Gay. Originally from the Montgomery County, Jennie attended Canjoharie High School.

On September 9, 1956, Jennie was united in marriage to Clarence R. Gray, Jr. at the Fort Plain Methodist Church. They shared a bond of almost 59 years and raised their four children together.

Jennie worked at several restaurants in the Fort Plain area in her youth. Later, as she moved to Dolgeville to reside with her husband, she found employment at Daniel Green Shoe Factory where she worked for 23 years until the factory's closing. Jennie then worked at the former Fastrac in Dolgeville until her retirement.

Jennie was a quiet person who spent much of her time tending to her family and home. She enjoyed taking care of her plants as well as reading and watching QVC. Jennie and Clarence also liked to go camping. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Clarence R. Gray, Jr. at home; her loving children; three daughters, Tina Dedicke and her husband, Richard Hamilton of Newport, NY, Toni Lambert and her husband, Rodney of Nelliston, NY, and Tuesday Carpenter and her husband, James of Dolgeville, NY; a son, Clarence R.
