The loving care and support of their daughters provided great comfort and joy to Jim and Cathy during his illness. Jim was cared for at home until his passing fulfilling his wishes including seeing all his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to Cathy and her family. Their sadness and loss is shared by their many friends within the Coast Mountains School District family and the communities of Terrace and Thornhill.
Jim will be dearly missed by all, especially by those people who had the privilege to know him personally. Jim worked at Sight & Sound for many years.
March 25, 1950 – November 23, 2017
Jim passed quietly at home after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Catherine ; his three daughters Jessica (Ben), Deana (Dave) and Christa (Lee); grandchildren Aiden, Phoenix, Shyla, Asher and Leif, brothers Fred (Flora) and Ray and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and 'adopted' daughters.
Jim was born in Prince George and raised in Terrace, BC. He was in the first graduating class from Caledonia Senior Secondary. Jim worked first as a logger and in his later years for Sight & Sound. He was a hard worker and always quick with a smile. He loved the outdoors and gardening, but most of all he loved his girls. His family was his joy, he will be missed.
