Mr. Larry “Big Daddy” Bratcher, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born in Rutherford County, TN to the late Fred and Edna Dozier Bratcher. Mr. Bratcher proudly served his country in the United States Army for 6 years before serving with the Murfreesboro Fire Department for 27 years. He was a faithful member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mr. Bratcher enjoyed watching University of Kentucky Basketball and Atlanta Braves Baseball.



Mr. Bratcher is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Bratcher; son, Scotty Bratcher (Tracey) of Murfreesboro; daughter, Sandra Bratcher (Frank Bain) of Bowling Green, KY; five siblings, Jeff Bratcher (Teresa Smotherman) of Murfreesboro, Judy Hughes (David) of Murfreesboro, Susie Lenon (Don) of Smyrna, TN, Kathy Medlock (Woody) of Murfreesboro, and Chris Bratcher of Smithville, TN; five grandchildren, Joey Bratcher, Jenna Bratcher, Tiffany Hazel, Daniel Hazel, and Jordan Hazel; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Bratcher.



Visitation with the family will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Jerry Howard and Chaplain Lee Douglas will officiate. Burial follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
