BAY -- Mary Marvelene Rodgers, 75, of Bay died Friday, June 9, 2006, at NEA Medical Center.
She was born in Bay and had lived her entire life there. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Bay, a loving mother and a good friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rodgers; her parents, Ina Lee and Stant ELROD; a son, Billy S. Rodgers; and a twin brother, Marvin ELROD.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marty Rodgers of Bay, and Danny and Martha Rodgers of Jonesboro; a brother, Dallas; three sisters, Loyce, Joyce and Shirley; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Marvin Rickett officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Self, Larry Norwood, Allen Hancock, Quinton Fletcher, Jerry Rodgers and Rosevelt Spencer.
