Shirley L. Elrod, 73 of Tulare passed away June 1, 2009. She worked for the Tulare Advance Register as an Accounts Executive for over 25 years. She was also involved with TIP, Tulare Historical Society, Tulare Chamber of Commerce and was an avid bowler and golfer for many years. Shirley is survived by her sisters: Joyce Gunn of Tulare and Loyce Self and her husband Vernon of Piggott, Arkansas; nephews: Tony Gunn and wife Maria of Roseville, Calif.and Steve Edgeworth of Oxnard Calif. In memory of Shirley donations may be made to the Tulare Historical Society at 444 W. Tulare Ave., Tulare, CA 93274 Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., June 5, 2009 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, Tulare.
