Helen Swanner, age 92 of Hamilton, passed Thursday, November 16, 2017. Helen was born in Livingston, Kentucky on June 30, 1925 to Bennett and Clara (Pruitt) Mullins. In November of 1943, Helen married James Herbert Swanner of London, KY. She was a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church, Helen enjoyed many years of going to flea markets and knife shows with her husband, Most recently, spending her time watching UK basketball, gospel programs, and listening to the Gaither's, Joel Osteen, and Jason Crabb.


Helen is survived by her children, James Stanley (Gail) Swanner and Clara Paulette (Ben) Boggess; her grandchildren, James Philip (Carey) Swanner, Rebekah Helen (Dustin) Plowman, Benjamin Anthony Boggess; her great grandchildren, James Dylan and Shane Philip; her brother in law, Otto Swanner; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Herbert Swanner; her parents; and her sisters, Marie Ponder, Mabel Gentry, Berneice Chandler, and Pauline Adams.
