Long time Midvale resident Mary Coates Gray, 93, died in her home in Loveland, CO on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000.
She was born in Liberty, MO on Sept. 21, 1906, to John Malcolm and Mary Breckenridge Scott Coates. She graduated from the University of Missouri School of Nursing and worked 16 years as a RN at the Salt Lake County General Hospital and the University of Utah Medical Center.
She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Loveland.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Vernon Lee Gray; two brothers; and one sister. Survived by a son, Vernon Carl, and wife, Barbara, Pine, CO; daughter, Mary Edith Knutson, Loveland, CO; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be 7-8 p.m. Monday May 1, 2000 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So State, Midvale. A memorial service will be 12 noon Tuesday May 2, 2000 at the Granger Community Christian Church, 2600 W. 3800 S.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Larimer County, 7604 Colland Dr., Ft. Collins, CO 80525.
