Sylvia Jean Rigsby was born November 9, 1945 in Ruleville, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Oscar C. Williams and Laura Maude O'Brian Williams. She departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, October 31, 2017 at the age of 71 years. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Gatlin and Dorothy Britt and a brother, Sonny Williams. Sylvia is survived by loving husband and caregiver, Charles Rigsby of Watertown; sons, James (Lisa) Childress of Mt. Juliet and John (Twinkle) Childress of Jacksonsville, NC; daughter, Laura Clark of Scottsville, KY; grandchildren, Austin and Blake Childress, Jonathan, Patrick and Joshua Childress , Taylor (Jason) Reser and Zack Clark; great grandchildren, Matthew, Avery and "Jellybean"; brother, Billy (Becky) Williams of Ripley, TN; special friends, Patsy Reeder, Thelma Pharris, Kim Beasley and all the staff at Kindred Hospice. Funeral services 2 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro.Thurman Seber, Bro. Terry Carver and Bro Joshua Childress officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday and Noon until service time on Friday, November 3, 2017. Interment at Hunter Memorial Park, Watertown, TN.
