Daniel D. Drompp, 82, of 125 East Main Street, died at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday at Chase Center. Born 24 May 1896 in Logansport, he was the son of John and Sophia Krieg Drompp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha. A World War I veteran, he was, also, active in Scouting for over 65 years. He has served 10 years as Workshop Supervisor at Woodlawn Center. A member of St. James Lutheran Church, he was a past commander of the American Legion Post. He was a retired employee of Logan Machine.
Surviving are the son, John, Auburn; one daughter, Mary Lou Stevens, Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; two brothers, A. F., 114 Roselawn Drive, Arthur, Panama City, Florida and several grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters, preceded him in death. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
