Born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to John and Margaret Wallace McChesney, Walter S. McChesney, 93, a retired farmer, passed away at the home of his son, Clarence W. McChesney of Marion on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1963.
He married Clara Beringer in 1898. She died in 1918. He married Ella Smith Klinefelter in 1920. She passed away in 1955.
Survived by his son, Clarence McChesney; daughter, Mrs. Earl Fichtner; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Ruth Loyer, also preceded him in death.
Burial in Salem Cemetery.
