THOMAS BRANDON, 51, DIES
MELROSE - Thomas Theodore Brandon, 51, died Tuesday afternoon at University Hospital in Iowa City. Mr. Brandon lived his entire life on the farm seven miles south of Melrose where he was born on Oct. 4, 1904.
In failing health for several years, he had been hospitalized for two weeks.
The body was taken to the Brandon home from Humeston Funeral Home in Albia today and the Rosary service will be this evening. Funeral services, with the Rev. R. J. McGrath officiating, will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church here.
Mr. Brandon is survived by his mother, with whom he made his home; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Burke of Des Moines, Mrs. Eva Elgin of Melrose and Mrs. Mae Hoffman, also of Melrose; and three brothers, Warren J. Brandon of Ottumwa and Grover Brandon and James Brandon, both of Melrose.
