ANNA EDITH HOFFMAN
Anna Edith Brandon Hoffman, daughter of Thomas T. and Mary M. Brandon, was born in Monroe county, near Melrose, May 22, 1902, and departed this life June 13, 1948, at the age of 46 years and 21 days. She was reared and lived in this vicinity nearly all her life.
On April 27, 1926, she was united in marriage to Glen C. Hoffman, of Chariton.
During her illness all that medical science and loving hands could do were of no avail.
She is survived by the husband, her mother, two sisters, Ruth and Mae, at home, two brothers, Ted, at home and Jim, of Melrose; two half-brothers, Grover, at home and Warren J., of near Drakesville, two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Burke, of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Eva Elgin, of Plano, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church at Melrose June 15 with the Rev. Francis Lenoch in charge. Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
