Geraldine Drewry Gibson, 81, of Troutville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Frank Gibson, and is survived by one son, Beverly D. and his wife, Blanche M. Gibson; one daughter, Brenda G. Smith; three grandchildren, Amanda Cartwright and her husband, Warren Cartwright, Jeff Smith, Adam Smith; two great grandchildren, Alli and Anaka Cartwright; three sisters, Evelyn Kirkman, Connie Kurz, Judy Smith; and one brother, Gary Drewry. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Troutville Baptist Church with the Rev. Carol Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's East Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Troutville Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 309, Troutville, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel.
