Frank Junior Long, 92, of Mackinaw, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Frank was born September 14, 1925 in Manito to Frank X. and Theresia Wurdinger Long. He married Elsie M. Dietrich February 8, 1947 in Hopedale. She survives. Also surviving are; one daughter, Julie (David) Darnall of Minier, two sons, Jerry (Sharon) Long of Mackinaw, Ron (Sally) Long of Minier, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen Weishaupt of Mackinaw, two brothers, Melvin (Dorothy) Long of Mackinaw and George (Mary) Long of Mackinaw.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Jacqueline, Dianne, four sisters, Pauline, Katherine, Lena, Rose, one brother, Carl and one great grandson, Gabriel.

Frank farmed over 80 years in the Mackinaw area. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hopedale, St. Joseph Mens Club, Minier Co-op Grain Co. for 37 years, and the Tazewell County Farm Bureau.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hopedale. The Monseigneur Tim Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday, October 10, at Haensel Funeral Home in Minier. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
