Paul Mowrey, 73, WWII Veteran
Paul R. "Rudy" Mowrey, 73, of West Portsmouth, died Friday, Apr 4, 1997, at his residence. Born Jan 3 1924, he was a son of the late William McKinley Mowrey and Lillian Pennington Mowrey. He was a retired plasterer and electrician. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreigh War Tony Applegate Post, the James Dickey Post American legion and was of the Protestant Faith. He was also a WWII Navy veteran. He is survived by his ex-wife and care giver, Anna Mowrey; two daughters, Linda Cunningham of Gahanna OH and Marsha Clifton of of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by a brother Bill Mowrey and a sister, Willmeda Bridges. Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday at the FC Daehler's Mortuary with the Rev. Sidney Synder officiating, with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post American Legion and interment in Sunset Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8pm Monday.
