McKinley Mowrey
McKinley Mowrey, 70, of 1102 Calverts Lane, West Portsmouth, died at 9:15am Wednesday at Scioto Memorial Hospital. A native of Lawrence County KY, Mowrey was a WWI veteran. He was married to Lillian Pennington in 1921. Surviving are two sons, Paul at home and William of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Willmeda Bridges of Clinton-Sherman Air Base, OK and a brother, Clifford Mowrey, 2113 Seventh St., three sisters, Mrs. Britta Heid, 1218 Young St., Mrs. Zella McGraw, 2113 Sixth St. and Mrs. ida Barber of Sciotoville Rt 2; and five grandchildren. Funeral services are to be conducted at 2pm Friday at Emrick Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Steele officiating. Burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens (now Sunset Memorial) Friends may call at the funeral home.
