A Denton resident for 86 years, Mrs. Ira M. Cox (Louisa, nee "Anderson") of 2407 Denison St., died at 8 p.m. Monday (January 2, 1967) at Flow Memorial Hospital after being hospitalized five weeks.

Born September 9, 1875 at McMinnville, Tenn., she married Ira M. Cox on Dec. 1, 1907, in Denton.

She was a charter member of the Central Baptist Church.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Singleton officiating. Burial was in Little Elm Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lucius Cox, Jr.; L.O. Cox, Jr.; David F. Williams, Ira John Cox, Richard Cox and Jeffrey Simmons, Jr.

Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge.

Survivors include sons, Armond R. Anderson, Fort Worth; Lucius Cox, Denton; Luther Cox, Dallas; Travis Cox, Irving; daughters Mrs. Harrison Emery, Dallas; Mrs. Eugene Williams, Fort Worth; brother W.B.
