LINDLEY | David R. Lehman, 83, of Lindley, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005.

He was a retired employee of New York Central Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Lehman of Lindley; a son, William Lehman of Elko, Nev.; two daughters, Sandra Kramer of Conway, S.C., Nancy Cole of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two stepsons, Robert Spencer of Osceola, Pa., Larry Spencer of Addison; two stepdaughters, Diane Wilson of Lindley, Bonnie Garrison of Lawrenceville Pa.; a brother, Lloyd Lehman of Hornby.

Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Carpenter's Funeral Home.

Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Burial will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery.

PAINTED POST | David R. Lehman, age 83, of Lindley, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Waters of Three Rivers Nursing Facility. He was born on November 16, 1921 in Corning, the son of Everette and Nellie Kalambach Lehman. He married Jean Rogers on July 28, 1982, in Campbell, NY.

David was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII, member of the Corning VFW, and an avid hunter. He retired from New York Central Railroad following 26 years of service and later retired from Corning, Inc. in 1980 with 16 years of service.

He is survived by his wife: Jean, son and daughter-in-law: William and Cindy Lehman of Elko, NV, daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra and Kent Kramer of Conway, SC and Nancy and Roger Cole of Zephyrhills, FL, step sons and daughter-in-law; Robert Spencer of Osceola, PA and Larry and Rosemary Spencer of Addison, step daughters and son-in-law: Diane and Darrell Wilson of Lindley and Bonnie Garrison of Lawrenceville, PA, brother and sister-in-law: Lloyd and Laura Lehman of Hornby, sister-in-law: Vivian Lehman of Corning, 17 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son: David, grandson: Mark, brothers: Everette and Levere Lehman, sisters: Opal Kimball, Luetta Brown, and Delores Martin.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00am. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Chapel Knoll Cemetery.
