Mary Scott was born and married Thomas Mounts in Clark County Indiana. Her parents were James and Charlotte Dove Scott, and they were married in Rockingham County Virginia in 1791, where James was in the same Militia Company as Charlotte's brother. They first went to Kentucky and later moved and settled in Clark County Indiana, where James bought land from Charles Beggs, also from Rockingham County Virginia, his brother John Beggs was also in the same company as James Scott and Henry Dove. Charlotte was listed in the 1850 census with her son George Scott in Utica Township, Clark County Indiana she was 80. Although there is a memorial for Charlotte showing her buried in Kentucky, no proof has been provided to support this memorial as Charlotte's grave. I doubt she left Indiana and her son George's at 80 to be buried in Kentucky. And since James Scott died in Clark County in 1807 according to his will and probate records I would believe he is buried somewhere in Clark County Indiana.
