Juanita Marie Hopkins Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on March 5, 2007. She was 65 years old. Juanita was born on July 16, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur Clement and Mary Drummond. She was raised in Chicago, and Palos Heights, Illinois. She moved to Seattle, Washington in 1976. She was the mother of 3 boys and 10 girls and grandmother to 8 grandsons and 12 granddaughters with another grandson on the way. Juanita also has one great-grandson. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as gardening, reading, baking, crafts, and sewing. She was an incredible seamstress and loved the ocean! Juanita graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BS in Nursing. She was a registered nurse in Washington and Oregon specializing in Labor and Delivery. She loved babies and her patients loved her! She lived in Washington for over 20 years and moved to Tualatin, Oregon in 2005. She is survived by her children, Joanne Lynne (Sam Owens) of Olympia; Lynette Marie (David Ireland) of Fife, Cheryl Renee (Bobby Mills) and Teresa Ellen (Ed Sanders), both of Shelton, Jennifer Ann (Bob Whitehurst) of Savannah, Georgia, Nancy Lee (Thomas Tree) of Mason, Ohio, Linda Marlene (Michael Honse) of Tualatin, Oregon, Larry Todd (Carmen) Walker of Hughesville, Maryland, Elizabeth Kaye (Mark Mollnow) of Puyallup, Marcus James Walker of Oak Harbor, Cathy Lee Walker and Melissa Lee Hopkins, both of Tualatin, Oregon, 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and a sister Diane Toth of Surrey, BC. She was preceded in death by her son Lawrence Arthur; her father Arthur Clement; and her mother Mary Drummond. A memorial service celebrating her life was held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 1:00 pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lake Oswego Oregon Stake Center, 5400 Kruse Way, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035. An interment will be held at the Fern Hill Cemetery, Fidalgo Island, Washington, TODAY Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 2:00 pm.
