Eugene James “Gene” Parker, the son of the late Ruben Earl Parker and Minnie Lenora Kinder Parker, was born on November 13, 1927, in Bernie, MO.

On April 4, 1945, in Wardell, MO, he was united in marriage to Mary M Traughber. She survives

He attended the Assembly of God Church in Qulin, MO.

Mr. Parker died September 11, 2017, in Malden, MO, at the age of 89 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Parker of Malden, MO; 3 sons, Charles E. Parker and wife, Faye, of Harviell, MO, Larry Parker and wife, Louise, of Malden, MO and Carl W. Parker of Poplar Bluff, MO; 3 sisters, Margie Norman and husband, Jearl, of Kennett, MO, Margret Allred and Vivian Anderson both of Malden; 3 brothers, Wincle Parker and wife, Nancy, of Kennett, MO, Billy Parker and wife, Kathie, and Dale Parker and wife, Billie, both of Malden; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Muse, Richie Parker and Shon Parker; 2 step grandchildren, Jared Parker and Hailey Parker; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Faye Smith, Clora Taylor and an infant sister; 6 brothers, Donal Parker, Danny Parker, Verlon Parker, Randal Parker, Chalmer Parker and Norman Earl Parker.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 6:00 P.M. at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the chapel with Brother Richie Parker officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
