Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church with the Rev. John F. Hagberg and Beverly Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 7 to 9 p.m., at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Funeral Home. A 7 p.m. prayer service will be conducted at the funeral home, by Beverly Wolff, minister of family life at St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Thompson was born Aug. 20, 1905, in Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Lottie (Pierce) Beeson. She was raised in the Danbury-Correctionville are and moved to Sioux City in 1927. She married Archie D. Thompson Dec. 24 1927, in Dakota City. He died in October 1981 in Sioux City.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Siouxland ski club.
Survivors include a son, Wayne and his wife, Beverly Thompson of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Linda Graffis, Doug Thompson and Kirk Thompson; a great-granddaughter; three brothers and their wives, Lewis and Loretta Beeson of Los Angles, Raymond and Verda Beeson of Lawton, Iowa, and Harold and Lucille Beeson of Correctionville, and three sisters and their husbands, Lenora Murphy and Thomas of Sioux City, Mayme Hobbs and Lowell of Kingsley, Iowa and Opal Bremer and Roy of Holstein, Iowa.
