Son of Johann Stephan Christian and Maria Eva Hamen Braun.

Married Mary Hardemon January 7, 1769.Abraham Braun was the son of Stephen and Maria Eva Hammen Braun. He was a first cousin to Johannes Goettge. His Brother Jacob Braun was one of the Founders of the state of TN. His Brother Michael built the Rock House that still stands and has its own family cemetery,
