Daughter of Erna Macel and John Dayton Hughart. Wife of James Jones. Two sons, Jerry E. and Johnny R. Jones, both of Charleston. Brothers, Lowell Thomas, Noble Ray Glenn Joseph, Ira Lee, sisters, Edith West, Beatrice, Gale Harrison, and Opal Tyler, all of Charleston.
Preceded in death by sister, Maxine Hughart, a stillborn daughter, Kathy Jones (Grandview Memorial Park-Oct. 1947) and a stillborn son, Dennis Earl Hughart, Sept. 11, 1943. Father unknown, but believed to be Carol Holmes.

Helen Hughart Jones, 70, of Tuppers Creek, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Tuppers Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Tupper's Creek.
Surviving: husband, James E. Jones; sons, Jerry E. and Johnny R., of Tuppers Creek; brothers, Ira Hughart of Charleston, Lowell and Glenn of Tuppers Creek; sisters, Beatrice Hughart of South Charleston, Gale Harrison of Cross Lanes, Opal Tyler of of Tuppers Creek; grandson, John "J.C." Jones of Tuppers Creek. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Charleston, with the Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar
