HUGHART. Mrs. Erna Macel—
55. of RFD 5, Box 350, Charleston, died
Saturday in Mountain State
Hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of Walker
Chapel Church at
Tuppers Creek. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maxine and father, John Curtis Boggess. Surviving are
her husband. John D. Hughart,
four sons, Nobel, Glenn. Lowell
and Ira. all of RFD 5: five
daughters. Mrs Edith West
Mrs. Opal Tyler, Miss Gale Marie and
Miss Beatrice Hughart, all of
RFD 5, and Mrs. Helen Jones
of Charleston; her mother. Mrs
Liza Boggess of RFD 5: three
brothers Shelby and James
Boggess both of RFD 5, and Edgar of
Charleston. Sisters, Rosa Sigmon and
Mabel Boggess of Rt. 5. 11 grandchildren,
William (Bill), Dennis, Linda and
Dora (Jeanne) and Deborah Hughart,
Johnnie and Jerry Jones, Michael and
Patrica Tyler, Roger, Joyce and
Danny West.
Service will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Monday in Walker Chapel Church by
Rev. Johnnie Rawlings. Burial will
be in the Hughart Family Cemetery
at the home. The body is at
Cunningham Mortuary and will be
taken to the home at 10 a.m. today
and to the church an hour before the
service.
Erna had Pneumonia for one week,
she also had Rheumatic Heart Disease,
Emphysema,and Bronchiectasis. She died
at 8:57 a.m. at Mt. State Hospital,
Charleston, WV.

John and Erna married, Jan. 2, 1922
by G.W. Holt, in Charleston, Kanawha,
WV. John was 31, widowed and Erna was
19. Both was living in Kanawha Co.
