Opal Hughart Tyler, 83, of Charleston went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at CAMC General Hospital. She was a member of the Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tyler; brothers, Noble, Glenn and Lowell; sisters, Edith West, Helen Jones, Maxine Hughart and Beatrice Hughart; and by her parents, John and Erna Hughart.

Surviving are her son, Michael Tyler and his wife, Angie, of Charleston; daughter, Patricia Tyler of Charleston; brother, Ira Hughart and his wife, Darlis, of Charleston; sister, Gale Harrison and her husband, Gary, of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Michelle Moore and husband, Eddie, and Candace Taylor and husband, Jeff; and great-grandchildren, Tanner, Payton and Deacon Moore and Austin and Makenzie Lanham. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Robert Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Hughart Family Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Opal was a very loving and caring person who never met a stranger. She loved everyone and will be sadly missed.
