Matthew Zol "Mack" Tate, 83, died August 28, 2006, at Valdese Hospital.

He was a native of Gaston County, a son of Zol Clarence and Minnie Frances Holland Tate.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, Dallas, with full military rites by the Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard.

Mack was a member of Sunrise Baptist Chuch in Hudson, NC.

He was a former supervisor with American and Efird in Whitnel, NC.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
