From her Obituary: Rosa Leinbaugh was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, Aug 18, 1850 and passed away at the home of her son, Harry, near Wagner, South Dakota, January 13, 1937, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 25 days.
At an early age she moved with her parents to Clinton County, Iowa. Here she married to Perry Strayer on March 15, 1870. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive: Harry W. of Wagner, C.A. & Roy of Martin, South Dakota, Mrs. Curry of Lake City, Iowa, and Mrs. Lee Troxell of San Perlita, Texas.
Mr & Mrs. Strayer moved to Woodbury County, Iowa in 1890, living there until 1909 when they moved to Wagner, South Dakota. Here Mrs. Strayer continued to make her home until her death.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and active in its affairs as long as her health permitted.
Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. B.A. Davis officiating. Internment was in the Wagner Cemetery.
