A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Viola DeHart McConnell, and her stepmother, Omah Tallent McConnell.
She worked for the Normandie Restaurant and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jerry McConnell of McDonald, Tenn.; two sisters, Gennell Fouts and Betty McConnell, both of Franklin; a half-sister, Virgie Southard of Franklin; one brother, Harley Lee McConnell of Franklin; and a stepbrother, Alvin Tallent of Franklin. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade McConnell and Wayne McConnell.
A funeral service was held Thursday, March 1, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. Josh Brooks and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating.
Burial was at Prentiss Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Fouts, Shannon McConnell, Jason McConnell, David McConnell, Jeff McConnell and Jeffery Southard.
