GARLAND CARTER MORRIS, 72, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., formerly of Memphis, retired Air Force senior master sergeant, died Wednesday in Fort Walton Beach. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Mid-South Mortuary has charge. He was a member of Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ. Mr. Morris, the husband of Patricia A. Odom Morris, also leaves a daughter, Sandra Gayle Soehngen of Valparasio, Fla.; a son, Garland Clay Morris of Orlando; two sisters, Syndey Totty and Dian Siler, both of Memphis; three brothers, Eli T. Morris of Memphis, Carl A. Morris of Ocala, Fla., and Enoch C. Morris of Milan, Tenn., and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
