BATESBURG -- Claude O. Preston, 70, passed away Friday, February 2, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, at Hulon Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Larry Patterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Wally, Henry and Marvin Gantt, Joe Browder, Jamie Oswalt and Keith Abney. Mr. Preston was born in Newberry, son of Pinkney and Jo Ann Koon Preston. He was a member of Hulon Baptist Church. He was married to the late Peggy Ruth Preston.
