Funeral services were held Friday, August 17, at the Hulon Baptist Church with internment in the church cemetery; Rev. Larry Patterson officiating.

She was born in Prosperity, SC, daughter of the late Claude Otis & Peggy Ruth Bryant Preston. She was a member of Hulon Baptist Church. She worked for the South Carolina Department of Revenue.
Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Risinger; son, David "Shorty" Boulware and fiancee, Kayla Waters, of Batesburg; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy R. Lara and husband, Araan, of Batesburg; brother, Pete Preston of Batesburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Jackie Gantt and husband, Marvin, of Batesburg; Sharon Preston of North Carolina; granddaughter, Adriana "Coot" Lara Risinger.
