DIED HERE MONDAY

Had Been Ill at Home of Her Son
In Albany For Some Time.
-----
Mrs. W. C. Bentley, well known
resident of this community passed
away at her son's home in Albany
Monday after an illness of some
duration.

The following obituary was
read at the services:

Perlina Emeline Farthing,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E.
Farthing, was born four and one
half miles northeast of Albany on
July 19, 1865 and passed away at
the home of her son, Wade, in Al-
bany May 22, 1933. Age 67 year,
10 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage
with W. C. Bentley Feb. 5, 1885.
Mr. Bentley passed away Jan. 1,
1931. To this union were born two
childhen [sic]; Mrs. Maud Sheldon who
died Oct. 29, 1929 and Wade of
Albany.

Mrs. Bentley is also survived by
five grandchildren; Norwood and
Lena Mae Bentley of Albany,
Mrs. Edith Peercy [sic] of Chelsie, Ok-
lahoma, Mrs. Nell Oliver of Tulsa,
Oklahoma and Herbert Sheldon of
Borger, Texas; two greatgrand-
children, Billy Jo and Robert Doyl [sic]
Peercy of Chelsie, Okla.; one
brother, R. C. Farthing of Albany.

She united with the Pleasant
Valley church when a young girl.
Later she united with the Chris-
tian church in Darlington. For
many years she has been a faith-
ful member of Albany Christian
Church. She was also a member
of the Royal Neighbors lodge.

Mrs. Bentley was a devoted
Christian woman whose dominate [sic]
interest was in her home and her
church. She always gave her best
and asked for little in return.

Funeral services were held at
the Christian church Tuesday at
2:30 p. m., conducted by Rev. H.
V. Reeves. Burial was in the
Grandview cemetery.
