Note: The surname is spelled Livermoar on her stone. Livermore is the spelling of the name that appears in most records. For search purposes, the spelling on this memorial will remain as Livermore.

NOTE: Regarding the death date -- Her date of death was Jan 14,1690/1, old style. And if you look really closely at the stone, there is a very tiny "1" to the upper right of the "90".

Her name appears repeatedly in the Colonial records as a midwife.

Grace was baptized June 18,1616 at Dedham, Co.Essex, England, the daughter of Edmund Sherman Jr and Grace (Makin) Sherman of Dedham, Co.Essex, and later of New Haven,CT. Older genealogies call Edmund's wife Joan Makin, but articles in The American Genealogist refute this supposition, and subsequent research published in The Great Migration Series (1995-2012) by Robert Charles Anderson, and an exhaustive study of the Sherman Family origins in England published in NEHGR up to Jan 2014 provide clarity to the family origins and identities.

Children: Hannah Livermore Coolidge, John Livermore Jr, Samuel Livermore, Daniel Livermore, an infant daughter, Mary Livermore, Sarah Livermore Townsend, Nathaniel Livermore, Martha Livermore Parker, and Edmund Livermore.
