Nancy Bacon Stanley, age 70 of Mineral Bluff, formerly of Smyrna passed away Wednesday, July 12. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, July 17 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm Monday at the funeral home. A native of Smyrna, Mrs. Stanley graduated from Campbell High School and had been a resident of Smyrna for over 40 years. She was a member of the Smyrna Social Club. She had been a resident of Mineral Bluff for the last seven years, where she belonged to Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Fred Bacon. Surviving are her loving husband of over 51 years Philip Stanley, daughter Michelle (Lee) Batson of Hilton Head, SC, son Scott (Jennifer) Stanley of Ball Ground, brothers Mike (Ann) Bacon of Ormond Beach, FL, Mitchell (Carol) Bacon of Jacksonville, FL, sister in law Jane Bacon, grandchildren Chris, Madison and Ben Batson, Ellie and Wright Stanley, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to Temple Baptist Church Youth Ministries 28 High Country Crossing Morganton, GA 30560.
