JAMES COCHRAN (JC) ANNAN well-known Hagerstown businessman and Grand Tall Cedar of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of Hagerstown, died Saturday at Washington County Hospital, aged 59.

Born and reared in Emmitsburg, Md, he was the son of Elizabeth (Morrison) Annan and the late John Stewart Annan.

He moved to Hagerstown 32 years ago. He was secretary-treasurer of the Reichard Service Stations in Hagerstown.

He was a member of the Alsatia Club, Friendship Lodge of Masons and Knights Templar, the Potomac Fish and Game Club, and of the Chamber of Commerce.

He was a graduate of the Thurmont High School, the Gettysburg Seminary and the Eastman Business College.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs Alice (Newcomer) Annan; daughter, Mrs Herman R Floyd, Camden, SC; one grandson; mother, Mrs J Stewart Annan; and a sister, Mrs Jane Miller, both of Doylestown, Pa; and a brother, John S Annan, Sharpsburg.
