Hartman, Frederick William Sr. Age 92 of Horseheads, NY peacefully passed away on Thursday July 6, 2017. Fred was born on July 1, 1925 the son of the late John B. and Genevieve Southard Hartman. Mr. Hartman was a Veteran of WWII and Korea serving his country with the U.S. Army. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Horseheads and the Chemung County Landfill, and he was a part-time bartender for over 20 years at Beefeaters in Horseheads, NY. He was a lifetime member of the Horseheads American Legion and Color Guard. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Maggie Hartman; brothers Theodore and Joseph Hartman; sister Jennie Elizabeth Comfort.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday July 10, 2017 from 4-6PM. Fred's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6PM. Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Hartman. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may remember Fred through donations to the Horseheads American Legion 71 Old Ithaca Road Horseheads, NY 14845.
