Two years later a friend, Ann Hackett introduced Martha to a preacher named Clyde Freeman who had lost his wife, Billie, to a battle with cancer. Clyde and Martha were happily married October 3, 1977 and spent 39 years loving each other dearly. Martha spent many years as a church secretary for the congregation at 11th & Birdwell church of Christ in Big Spring, Texas. She was a loving and caring woman who spent years teaching so many souls young and old about the Lord Jesus.
Martha left a legacy of teaching others about Jesus, from her family to church members, underprivileged children, and prison inmates through World Bible School lessons, her love for God’s word was so evident.
She was survived by her husband Clyde Freeman of San Angelo, Texas, her daughters, a stepdaughter, a stepson, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her stepdaughter Jane Freeman, of Dell City, Oklahoma and all of her siblings and parents.
