Son of Dempsey Griffin of Pinewood. Husband of Victoria A Kelly Griffin. A true son of the South who served on behalf of the State of South Carolina in the 1st SC Rifles Regiment, Co G, also known as Orr's Regiment. After the War, he moved his family to Florida and was living there at the time of his death. He has many loving cousins in South Carolina who cherish the memory of one so special.

This cemetery was established during the year of his death. Time and weather have covered the marker which once identified his resting place.
