HARRY W. STARLIPER, 49, of 716 Spruce St., died Saturday at Washington County Hospital. Born near Mercersburg, Pa., he was the son of Mrs. Blanche Sweeney Starliper of Mercersburg and the late Jesse W. Starliper.

He was employed with the Western Maryland Railway for 22 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Eshelman Starliper; 13 children: Wilson A. Starliper, Hagerstown; Edgar L. Starliper, Chambersburg, Pa.; Donal E. Starliper, US Army in Korea; Terry L. Starliper, St. Thomas, Pa.; Ronald E. Starliper, Mercersburg; and Earl C., Gary L., Phyllis, Shirley, Harry Jr., Marie, Richard L., and Timothy E. Starliper, all at home; seven grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Enos Mellott, Mrs. Leon Fleagle, Mrs. Terry Daley, and Mrs. James Angle, all of Mercersburg; Mrs. John Hayes, Orlando, Fl.; Mrs. Thomas Snyder, Clear Spring; and Mrs. Charles Gordon, Frederick; three brothers, Junior, Earl, and Walter Starliper, Mercersburg.

Services were held at the Mount Pleasant Church of God, Mercersburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery.
