Sarah Marie Davis, 80, Sparta, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 in the home she shared with her son, Eddy in Sparta. She was born May 2, 1924 in Chadwick, the youngest child of William Preston and Alice Dessie (Billingsley) Gideon. She was united in marriage to Ivan Raymond Davis who preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Davis was a member of Oldfield Full Gospel Church. Survivors include: her son, Eddy; two daughters, Ethel Williams, Ozark and Judy Pearcy, Sparta; four grandsons, Ronnie Davis, Ray Davis, Chris Davis, and David Mentor; six granddaughters, Penny Stewart, Peggy Howell, Tammy Watson, Teresa Brock, Tammy Jefferies and Sue Ann Jefferies; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Davis, a step-daughter Hazel Belson , two infants, Earl and Sharon Davis; several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday,Dec. 6, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Rev.Ben Dewitt officiating. Burial followed in Fairviw Cemetery. Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
