Death of Samuel G. McMillan

Samuel G. McMillan died at his home in Americus, Tuesday morning, after a painful and lingering illness, aged 84 years. He had been in feeble health for several years, and a few months ago suffered a partial stroke of paralysis, and since that tine had been confined to the home and practically was helpless. A few weeks ago he grew much worse and gradually failed until the end.

Mr. McMillan came with his family to Americus thirty-odd years ago, and had since lived there. He leaves a wife and three children. The children are Robert, who has lived on Illinois for several years; Mrs. Mollie B. McAuley, and Edward McMillan, both of Americus.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the interment will be made by the side of a son, Claude McMillan, in Americus Cemetery. Owing to the condition of Mrs. McMillan, who suffered a collapse since her husband's death, it has not been decided at this time - Wednesday morning - whether the funeral services will be held at the home or the church.
