Victor P. Carniglia passed away May 12, 2017 in Santa Cruz.

Victor was born May 20, 1930 (a twin to brother Virgil) to Marco Sr. and Mary P. (Bregante) Carniglia. He grew up on the west side of Santa Cruz, known to the Italian families as "la baranca".

For his whole life Victor was involved in the fishing industry in Santa Cruz. He loved being on the wharf. Even confined to a wheel chair, you would see him out and about cruising the neighborhood. He always had a smile on his face. He loved watching sports on TV especially a Giants, Forty-Niners or Yankees game (his favorite team).

Victor was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley and second wife, Rita, his parents, four brothers, John, August (Jocko), Marco Jr. and Virgil, his sisters, Lorraine Canepa and Augustine Bregante and daughter, Patricia.
He is survived by step-sons, Al, Troy and Rick Russell and many nieces and nephews.

Victor's family and close friends would like to thank the staff at Kindred Care and Hospice of Santa Cruz for their kind and loving care.

Private services were May 19th at Santa Cruz Memorial Park, where he was laid to rest.
Contributions in Victor's name may be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066.
