Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Francis Ben Brown, passed away at his home Saturday, May 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.

Ben was born September 21, 1932 in Ogden, Utah, to Orlow and Ida Walker Brown. He graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber State College. He served in the army reserves during the Korean War.

Ben worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Branch Chief within the Directorate of Material Management and retired in 1990 after 37 years.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed camping, skiing, and traveling, but most of all he loved designing and building homes after retirement.

He married Reva Perkins December 21, 1957. She passed away in February of 1987. He married DeEtta Child March 26, 1988. The marriage was later solemnized at the LDS Ogden Temple.

Ben is survived by his wife, DeEtta Brown; sons: Kevin Brown, Kamik Brown, and Craig (Christine) Hansen; his daughter, Kaprece Brown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister Joan (Kenneth) Dearden

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Reva; daughter, Pamela Reno; son, Ted Hansen; brothers, Keith and Mack; sister, Carol Compton.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S.
