Mrs. Steele was born in Batesburg to the late Irwin and Naomi Enlow Warren. She attended Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. And was married to the late Marvin "Pete" Steele and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, John Earl Steele; William Steele; daughters, Linda Gulledge; Patricia Anderson all of Batesburg; Elaine Crapps; Darlene Miller both of Leesville; sister, Marie Swygert of Leesville; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Corder; brothers, Ralph Warren; Irwin Warren.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Other times at her daughter's home, Linda Gulledge, 120 Enlow Drive, Batesburg, SC 29006. Memorial can be made to Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rt. 1, Box 286-A, Batesburg, SC 29006.
