Giustino was born in Chieti, Italy to Donato DeMarco and Carmella Novelli. He married Sabina Cerritelli, and on February 2, 1900 they had their first child Arturo (later known as Arthur). In 1901, they immigrated to New York City, America. From there, they settled in Rhode Island where Giustino worked as a jeweler. In 1904, he and his wife had their second child Esterina (later known as Esther).

In 1906, the family moved to Philadelphia where they had three more children: Guido on April 1, 1908, Arnold on January 21, 1916, and Nicolo (later known as Nicholas) on December 25, 1916. In 1910, Giustino worked as a gold smith, but in 1930, he was unemployed. In that same year, he lived on South Ninth Street with his wife, Esther, and Arnold. By the time of his death, he lived on 1712 Tasker Street. On April 9, 1918, Giustino petitioned for naturalization.

Giustino died on March 23, 1943 from cerebral hemorrhage due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
