Ephrata.
Mrs. Ella Edwards Ruth, 79, wife of George A Ruth 218 Arch Street, Ephrata died Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at the Ephrata Community Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage following a three day's illness.
She was born in Clay Township, a daughter of the late John and Caroline Miller Edwards, and resided in Ephrata for the past five years. She was a member of the Hopeland Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Besides her husband, surviving are these sons and daughters; Raymond Edwards Ephrata R1, Enos Ruth Lititz R1; Clarence Ruth, Schaefferstown; Warren and Miles Ruth both of Lititz R1; Irene and Ella Ruth, with whom she resided; Sadie, wife of Stewart Weik, Ephrata; Anna, wife of Arthur Loose, Ephrata R2.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Lizzie Corl Avon Heights; and two brothers, Frank Edwards Lititz R1; and John Edwards, Sheridan R1.
Funeral will take place at 10 a.m. today in the Mellinger Funeral Home, Denver, the Rev Edward T Uhler officiating. Burial will be at Hopeland cemetery.
