Gary Clinton Hullinger, fun, feisty, fiercely loyal and generous slipped away from us unexpectedly on April 15, 2017.
Born April 30, 1947 to Richard L. and Gladys Paul in Salt Lake City.

Gary was a proud supporter of his West High Panthers and fondly remembered his high school friends. He loved sports especially baseball, football, basketball, and golf. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He served in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart in recognition of his service, an experience few people knew as he did not share it.

Gary attended the University of Utah, completing "virtually every general education class offered", a well educated non graduate. He worked at Kennecott Copper, and retired from the US Postal Service. He was our greatest cheerleader, larger than life. He loved deeply and was deeply loved.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Stephanie Hayes, daughter, Angela, son, Timothy (Polie), grandchildren, Timothy, Hayes and Max Hiller, William and Jane Hullinger, former son in law David Hiller, his brothers Paul, Brent, Kevin and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ricky.

Gary's family and friends will remember and miss him to the end of our days.
