She was born in Covington, Ohio, on Oct. 20, 1923, to the late Harry and Eva (Wingenter) Boggs. On May 14, 1944, in Piqua, she married Linden D. Brubaker. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2010.
Juanita is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Margene and Daniel Jay, Piqua, and Beckie Wagner and Harry Maroncelli, Fort Collins, Colo.; five grandchildren: Paul Wagner, Aarron Wagner, Royce Wagner, Kim Jay and Kelly Filson; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Kenneth Boggs, Daniel Boggs, and one stillborn brother; two sisters: Helen Estes and Louise Martin.
Juanita was a member of Piqua Church of the Brethren, where she was active in Women's Fellowship and helped with all the church dinners. She loved to crochet making dish rags. She would take old lawn chairs and macrame the backs and seats of the lawn chairs. She loved to sing and listen to music. She worked at Piqua Engineering for 33 years as an assembler before retiring in 1988. She was very proud of making the bombs for the soldiers during the WWII effort.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Larry Lutz officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, Ohio. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
