Widow of the longtime City of Lebanon Commissioner of Public Works Jesse Coe, Mrs. Coe passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at Elmcroft. The daughter of the late Ervin and Lillian Wherry, she was a homemaker and a member of College Hills Church of Christ.
Funeral services were conducted by her nephew Eugene Wherry. Burial followed at Wilson County Memorial Park.
Survivors include: children Conita (James) Potts, Jim (Rachel) Coe, Debby (Allan) Foutch and Phillip (Debbie) Coe. Also surviving is sister Nell Burchard of Madison; a granddaughter and seven grandsons; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Margaret Wright and Katherine Wherry.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Bill Howard, Dr. Bill Robertson, Tommy Lea, Bill Donlon, and the residence & staff of Elmcroft.
